E-Government Training
This section covers a range of information society that bind the project together. These include an e-Government Training component which provides the link between the regulatory and e-government components to reach a wider audience across China. The e-Government Training component currently covers 14 provinces and municipalities.This expansive approach has demanded an integrated approach to the design of training courses. The main objective of this component is to improve institutional capacity for regulatory and e-government service through e-government training.
This provincial training component is backed up by a training programme in 4 research projects supported by the Advisory Committee for State Informatisation (ACSI). These cities include Jiyuan in Henan province, Foshan in Guangdong province, Suzhou in Jiangsu province, and Pingliang in Gansu province.
Capacity Building
The Administrative Capacity Building component focuses on EU-China Information Society dialogue through an annual conference, a seminar on digital divide and a forum on ICT for old industrial bases; an e-commerce benchmarking survey; a survey on international cooperation in informatisation; capacity building for the PTF, LTA and stakeholders including management training and development of training materials; and visibility activities including newsletters, publicity materials and the project website.
